We’re thrilled to invite you to apply as a bar services vendor for a series of events at Discovery Harbour on February 26 and March 13, 2026!

These gatherings are a fantastic opportunity to showcase your services to visitors at Discovery Harbour. We’re looking for a dynamic provider to host cash bars for our guests. Vendors will pay a rental fee to secure their spot and keep all revenue from bar sales during the events.

What’s included from Discovery Harbour:

  • Promotion on our website and social media
  • Full access to a commercial bar at our restaurant or theatre (depending on the event). Equipped with fridges, ice machine (located in restaurant), serving area, sinks etc.
  • All utilities and snow removal

What the vendor brings:

  • All serving supplies (i.e. glass wear – reusable or disposable, mixers, bar equipment, etc.)
  • All drink products (including alcoholic beverages, non-alcoholic mixers, garnishes, etc.)
  • Point of Sales (all revenues from the bar are to be kept by the bar services vender)
  • Certified staff to operate the bar area

Requirements (for successful applicant only):

  • Special Occasions Permit from AGCO
  • Proof of valid Smart Serve Certification for the servers
  • Formal rental agreement
  • Proof of insurance
  • Non-Refundable vendor fee
  • Event Food Permit from the SMDHU. Apply online here

Application Process:

  • We will evaluate each submission separately based on the following weighted criteria:
    • Experience in the Industry 20 points
    • Type / Variety / Qualify of product 10 points
    • Price point of product 10 points
    • Availability for the dates provided 15 points
    • Self-sufficient (i.e. supplies, staffing, sales) 10 points
    • Total points 60 points

The selection of vendors will be based on the highest scoring submission. The
Ministry has the right to choose more than one vendor as required for the event.

The successful vendor will be required to sign an agreement and provide
Commercial General Liability Insurance of not less than two million dollars
($2,000,000), with Discovery Harbour named as additional insured under “His
Majesty the King In Right of Ontario” (93 Jury Drive, Penetanguishene, ON L9M
1G1)

NON-REFUNDABLE Food Vendor fees (including HST):

  • February 26, 2026: $250.00
  • March 13, 2026: $750.00
