Guided tour dates and times

For a truly immersive experience

Join a friendly and knowledgeable guide on a small-group exploration of Discovery Harbour! It’s a great way to take a deeper dive into the story of Discovery Harbour’s historic naval and military past.

Tours are 60 to 90 minutes in length. Please arrive a minimum of 15 minutes before your tour start to ensure you don’t miss anything. Tour participants spend a lot of time outside and are encouraged to dress for the weather.

The complimentary admission programs for Ontario Teachers, Members of the Canadian Armed Forces, as well as First Nations, Métis and Inuit people do not apply to guided tours, specialized events and group bookings.

Discovery Harbour spring tours

Spring Guided Tours: A Unique Experience
April 3-26 (Fridays to Sundays)
Recommended for people ages 10 and up

Join an exclusive, small-group tour led by one of our most seasoned historical interpreters this spring—before we are officially open! Tours include a pre-determined route through the historic site and access to the original hull of the HMS Tecumseth and gift shop.

    • 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Please ensure you arrive for your tour 15 minutes early to ensure you don’t miss anything. The Charthouse will open 30 minutes before each tour time.

Historic vessels are not ready for boarding and will not be part of the tour. Most buildings will be open, but some will still be undergoing curatorial maintenance in preparation for summer.

We’ll be offering daily tours that bring this 19th-century naval and military outpost to life. Our guided tours are the perfect way to start or end your visit!

Only $5 per person in addition to your admission rate.

Hours for daily guided tours:

  • 12:30 p.m. in French (Wednesdays to Sundays)
  • 1:30 p.m. in English
  • 2:30 p.m. in English

We suggest you arrive 15 minutes early to ensure you have time to go through admissions before your tour.

Deals and packages

Ontario teachers, members of the Canadian Armed Forces and Indigenous persons gain free entry. Your Discovery Harbour paid receipt gets you 50% off at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons during the regular season (May to September). Exceptions apply.
