Group visits
Discovery Harbour is a 30 acre living history attraction which tells the intriguing story of the original 19th century British naval and military outpost built to defend Upper Canada after the War of 1812. Experience the life of sailors, soldiers and officers who worked at this isolated base on beautiful Penetanguishene Bay. Board the magnificent replica tall ships H.M.S. Tecumseth and H.M.S. Bee and see a 200-year-old ship wreck in the H.M.S. Tecumseth Centre.
Self-guided tours
Discovery Harbour welcomes groups for self-guided tours of the historic attraction, with friendly knowledgeable costumed staff. Download our free App before your visit to enjoy an audio guided tour in English or French, or pick up a site map to start exploring this 19th century former naval and military base. Please allow about 1.5-2 hours for your visit which includes the tall ships H.M.S. Tecumseth and H.M.S. Bee, the original Officers’ Quarters and the H.M.S. Tecumseth Centre, showcasing the original 1815 hull of H.M.S. Tecumseth.
Travel trade groups
Groups of 15 or more have the option of exploring Discovery Harbour at their leisure, with a self-guided tour, using our free App and sites maps available in English and French.
For community groups and Tour Operators groups, a limited number of guided tours may be available upon request. Please note that tours are about 1.5 hours long, take place mostly outdoors and run RAIN or SHINE.

Day camps
Discovery Harbour welcomes youth group with 15 to 80 participants, during the months of July & August.
Special Programs may be available for Navy, Air, Military and Sea Cadets.
Choose between half-day and full day programs and enjoy great hands-on activities, and a mini tour of this 19th century British Naval Dockyard and Military Base.
