Discovery Harbour will reopen for living history programming in early May 2027. Our fantastic special events, like Mid-Winter Social and Pumpkinferno, happen at specific dates all year round. Pre-booked group tours are available. We look forward to welcoming you!

Hours and rates
We reopen to the general public in early May 2027. Until then, visitors are invited to check out our special events or book a group tour. Please allow about 1.5 hours for your visit. We are open rain or shine. Dogs are welcome during our daily living history programming (only service animals during special events).
Season passes
For just $35, tax included, season pass holders gain unlimited admission to both Sainte-Marie, Nancy Island Historic Site, and Discovery Harbour during their visitor seasons, as well as unlimited admission to many special events at both historical attractions.
Deals and packages
Ontario teachers, members of the Canadian Armed Forces and Indigenous persons gain free entry. Your Discovery Harbour paid receipt gets you 50% off at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons during the regular season (May to September). Exceptions apply.
Group visits
Discovery Harbour welcomes groups for guided or self-guided tours of Ontario’s most picturesque historic attraction, with friendly knowledgeable costumed staff. Tours may be available in both English and French.

Find us
Find us at 93 Jury Drive in Penetanguishene, only 45 minutes from Barrie, Ontario. Discovery Harbour is accessible from Ontario’s major provincial highways and is located on beautiful Penetanguishene Bay. Parking is free and bike racks are available.
Retail store
Barracks Boutique, our gift shop, is located right next to our ticket booth at the main entrance. Pick up Discovery Harbour souvenirs, support local Indigenous artisans, and grab delicious snacks, cold drinks or treat the kids to ice cream on a hot day.
King’s Wharf Theatre
The King’s Wharf Theatre is a 371-seat theatre flanked by majestic tall ships and historic buildings. This unique venue is operated by award-winning Drayton Entertainment, one of Canada’s most successful professional theatre companies.
