Discovery Harbour is open daily from May 3 until August 31, 2025. Our fantastic special events, like Pirates of the Bay and Pumpkinferno, happen at specific dates all year round. Pre-booked group tours are available from May 3 to August 31. We look forward to welcoming you!

Deals and packages

Ontario teachers, members of the Canadian Armed Forces and Indigenous persons gain free entry. Your Discovery Harbour paid receipt gets you 50% off at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons during the regular season (May to September). Exceptions apply.

Season passes

For just $35, tax included, season pass holders gain unlimited admission to both Sainte-Marie and Discovery Harbour during their visitor seasons, as well as unlimited admission to most special events at both historical attractions. The passes include event favourites like First Light and Pumpkinferno!

Hours and rates

We reopen to the general public on May 3, 2025. Until then, visitors are invited to check out our special events or book a group tour. Please allow about 1.5 hours for your visit. We are open rain or shine and are dog-friendly.

Discovery Harbour welcomes groups for guided or self-guided tours of Ontario’s most picturesque historic attraction, with friendly knowledgeable costumed staff. Tours may be available in both English and French.

Find us at 93 Jury Drive in Penetanguishene, only 45 minutes from Barrie, Ontario. Discovery Harbour is accessible from Ontario’s major provincial highways and is located on beautiful Penetanguishene Bay. Parking is free and bike racks are available.
